CONSENT ORDER
I. This is a grievance filed by OPSEU regarding the interpretation and implementation
of the Memorandum of Settlement signed on February 6, 2012.
2. Having heard the submissions of the parties, I make the following orders;
a) The Hospital's final implementation of the central grid as of April 1, 2013
was, and remains, correct.
b) Any employee that received less than 1.375% wage increase as of April
1, 2013, the date that the employer's revised and adjusted wage grids were
implemented, shall be entitled to a one-time lump sum payment, less all
applicable deductions calculated as follows: (1.375 percent minus
percentage increase received multiplied by hours worked between April 1,
2013 and March 31, 2014 multiplied by the applicable wage rate as of
March 31, 2013.
c) To be eligible to receive this payment, an individual must have been an
employee of Sunnybrook as of March 31, 2013, remain a current employee
of Sunnybrook, and be a current member of the bargaining unit as of the
date of this award.
d) The Hospital will make best efforts to make payment within eight (8)
weeks from the date of this award. The Hospital shall provide OPSEU with
a complete list of payments and how the payments were calculated for each
eligible employee
