A HEARING IN THIS MATTER WAS HELD AT OTTAWA ON MARCH 2, 2006.
INTERIM AWARD
The statement of the grievance filed on March 14, 2005 by the Union under the
terms of the collective agreement is an allegation of violation by the College of Articles 1,
2, 3, 6, and 27 in that it "failed to give preference to full-time positions in the School of
Hospitality and Tourism."
At this hearing and having regard to submissions of Counsel as to production and
particulars by the parties and discussion as to the procedure to complete these
requirements prior to the next hearing, it was agreed and I so order that:
(a) Particulars of the Union's claim will be provided by
the Union to the College along with its demand for
disclosure of documents and particulars from the
College by April 14, 2006.
(b) The College will respond to the Union in this regard by
May 26, 2006.
(c) A further hearing is scheduled and confirmed as follows:
September 19, 2006, at 10:00 a.m.
