At the hearing of this m~tter, counsel for the parties
informed the Board that they mutually agreed the grievors were
wrongly classified. The employer acknowledged that there was
presently no e~isting classification within the collective
agreement that "fit" the job duties performed by .the grievors.
The employer indicated that it was therefore prepared to develop
a more appropriate class standard. Following discussion as to
the nature of the order which should issue in the interim, and
premised on the aforesaid agreement of the parties, the Board
ordered:
1. The employer undertakes to develop an appropriate
classification for the grievors within a reasonable
~eriod of time, pursuant to article 5.8 of the collective
agreement.
2. The proceedings are adjourned sine die to be brought
back before the board at the request of either party.
Dated at Windsor, Ontario, thls .31sc day of March, 1989.
