A heating in this matter took place on January 6th, 2000, at Toronto, Ontario.
AWARD
On consent of the parties, we award as follows:
The following work will not constitute projects of a non-recurring kind pursuant to
articles 1.1 and 1.6 of the collective agreement for support staffemployces.
1. Clerical employees hired to assist with annually recurring administrative duties such
as registration, continuing education, academic schools, and summer camp.
2. Caretakers, handymen and skilled trades workers hired to perform routine
maintenance and repairs.
3. Camp counsellors, grounds workers, picnic workers, and athletic instructors hired
for summer programs.
4. Technologists, technicians, and lab monitors hired for computer labs by the
semester.
5. Chefs, waitresses and dishwashers employed at Eaton Hall, for example, during
wedding season.
6. Support Services Officers on recurring projects such as the United Way.
7. Support Services Officers on recurring types of related projects such as
unemployment programs, job search etc, resume preparation, job interview skills, youth
employment, and newcomer employment programs.
8. Student Services providers such as international student assistants, coop
coordinators, student life, tour guides, registration assistants.
9. Sports facilities operators such as zamboni drivers, referees, and gym assistants.
10. Library and AV technicians.

11. Invigilators and tutors.
This order is without prejudice to any outstanding matters between the parties.
