ORDER This Board was charged with four grievances filed by Mr. Nick Taurozzi in the fall of 2003. The parties appeared before us on May 6, 2004 and October 19, 2004 and began the evidence in this case. Today, May 30, 2005, the Board met again and the parties, with the Board's intervention, entered into discussions with respect to the issues. Having participated in those discussions, and having had the benefit of the parties' understanding with respect to dealing with similar matters, the Board has prepared the following Order to dispose of all four grievances. The parties each presented an outline of their respective monetary positions. Having reviewed them, the Board orders that the amount of $1,275.00 (less deductions required by law), which represents a compromise for both parties, be paid by the College to the grievor. In so ordering, the Board recognizes that neither party acknowledged liability in this matter nor withdrew their allegations. This Order further reflects the understanding of the parties that the Joint Health and Safety Committee is an appropriate forum for the parties to raise concerns, including those brought forward by an individual, with respect to personal safety. Any such complaints shall be handled in accordance with the Committee's established procedures. The Board shall remain seized of these matters in the event that a dispute arises respecting the implementation of this Order. Dated at Toronto this 30th day of May, 2005. Chair "Richard O'Connor" I concur. College Nominee "Sherril Murray" I concur. Union Nominee
