MEMORANDUM OF SETFL~
Without prejudice or precedent, the parties hereto agree to settle the
grievance on the following terms:
1. The employer shall create a new class standard which accurately reflects the
duties and responsibilities performed by the grievors as at April 15, 1991, within 180 days
of the execution of the Memorandum of Settlement.
2. The rate of pay in respect of the new classification shall be determined in
accordance with the collective agreement.
3. With respect to Carpenter, Heinbuch and Meyer, reclassification shall be
retroactive to April 15, 1991.
4. With respect to Verhulst, reclassification shall be retroactive to 20 working
days prior to November 4, 1991 .....
5. Interest on any retroactive payments shall be calculated in accordance with the
formula as set out in the Hallowell House case.
6. The parties agree that the settlement shall be made an order of the Grievance
Settlement Board.
7. The Grievance Settlement Board shall retain jurisdiction with respect to the
implementation of this award.

8. Upon fulfilment of the above terms of settlement, the grievances shall be
withdrawn.
