AWARD
In this case, the grievor who was a classified employee, was
denied an overtime opportunity when in fact that overtime
opportunity was given to an unclassified staff, contrary to the
policy of Quinte Detention Centre
In result the Employer shall offer to the grievor the next two
overtime opportunities (of a 12 hour shift) provided he is
available to work overtime
The Employer and the Union agree to establish an overtime
policy in conjunction with the local union that consists of a
protocol for call in and distribution of overtime opportunities
In result then, the grievance is allowed. Should there be any
problem, the Board remains seized
DATED at Toronto this day of 1993
