AWARD
The gnevance leadmg to the present arbItratlon came to the Board under an agreement executed
between the partIes on June 13, 1996, entItled "Memorandum ofUnderstandmg Re Non-
Renewal of UnclassIfied Contracts Followmg the OPS Stnke that Ended March 31, 1996"
Under thIs memorandum ofunderstandmg, artIcles 3(c) and 4, I was vested wIth broad and
unrevIewable authonty "to fashIOn and award any such remedy [1 deemed] Just and eqmtable
ill the CIrcumstances"
In the CIrcumstances of the present case, the most '1ust and eqmtable remedy" would seem to be
to award the gnevor compensatIOn m the form of wages, mcludmg 2% m heu of benefits, at the
OAG 8 level for the penod Apnl 1 to June 28, 1996 The employer IS herebv dIrected to make
payment of such compensatIOn to the gnevor I WIll retam JunsdIctIOn pendmg ImplementatIOn
of the terms of thIS A ward.
