BOARD ORDER
A dispute arose between the parties over Minutes of Settlement signed July 20,
2000 In the matter of Moody and the Ministry of the Solicitor General and Correctional
Services (GSB #0446/98 & #2101/99) conference calls were held between Ms Mary
McKinnon, counsel for the Union and Ms Kate Karn, counsel for the Ministry on June 7th
and June 20th, 2001 to discuss the dispute After having heard the subm Isslons of the
parties and having reviewed the Minutes of Settlement, I am of the view the Union's
request must be rejected
The Minutes of Settlement were executed In June of 2000, after the date the gnevor
would have been converted to a classified position The amount of money paid under the
settlement was calculated with that In mind and was Intended to be a full and complete
settlement of the Issues between the parties Any request for additional retroactive
payment for that conversion IS therefore denied
