At the heanng m tills matter, the partIes agreed to the Issuance of a consent award
mcorporatmg the mmutes of settlement set out below.
Whereas the Umon filed a letter dated March 7,2000 allegmg a breach of
settlement dated February 2, 2000 between the partIes, the partIes agree on a
wIthout precedent and wIthout prejUdICe basIs to the followmg terms and
condItIOns as settlement of the Issues raIsed m the letter dated March 7, 2000
1 Where an employee wIshes to reVIew hIS or her personnel file, they shall
meet first wIth a Human Resources AssIstant, or other human resources
staff as authonzed by the employer, m order to determme If there IS
agreement concernmg the documents to be removed from theIr file, If
any
2 If there IS a dIspute between the employee and the Human Resources
AssIstant subsequent to the meetmg referred to m paragraph one, and the
employee requests, an appomtment shall be scheduled between the
employee and a Human Resources consultant who has the authonty to
determme the matter
3 If an employee so requests, the employer agrees to remove the
employee's file documentatIOn relatmg to umon and dIscretIOnary leaves
pnor to transferrmg the said file to the new employer, and the employer
agrees to dISCUSS removmg documentatIOn relatmg to other types of
leaves
4 The umon consents to the employer retammg the documents removed
from the employee's file pursuant to paragraph three m a file willch It will
mamtam m ItS own possessIOn.
5 The partIes agree that VIce-Chair Brown will remam seIzed wIth respect
to thIS settlement.
6 The partIes agree to the GSB Issumg a consent order mcorporatmg the
terms of tills settlement.
