DeCISIon
The gnevors were desIgnated to provIde emergency serVIces dunng the 2002 work
stoppage m the Ontano pubhc serVIce Based upon the letters desIgnatmg them as
emergency workers, they claim standby pay for tIme not actually worked dunng
the strike ThIS Issue posed by these gnevances IS IdentIcal to that decIded m
OPSEU and Management Board Secretanat, GSB No 2002-2427, decIsIOn dated
January 26, 2004 (Brown) For the reasons set out m that decIsIOn, the gnevances
are dIsmIssed.
The partIes agree that thIS decIsIOn apphes to any sImIlar gnevance, not yet
before thIS board, claImmg standby pay for tIme dunng the strike
