DECISION
The parties referred this gnevance to mediation! arbitration In accordance with Article 22 16
of the Collective Agreement. The gnevance Involves the Issue of senlonty calculations while
the gnevor was employed with the Ministry of Community and Social Services
Dunng the course of the mediation, the parties were unable to fully resolve the outstanding
Issues and agreed that I should decide the case on the basIs of the Information presented to
me dunng the course of that mediation They further agreed, In the Interests of expedition,
that I need not set out the reasons for my ruling In the matter
On the basIs of the Information before me and having considered the submissions of the
parties, I am satisfied that the gnevor has entitlement to a further 75 weeks of senlonty The
employer IS hereby directed to amend the employment record accordingly, Including
retroactive vacation entitlement adjustments from July 24, 1996, If applicable
I shall remain seized should the Parties encounter any difficulties anslng In the
Implementation of this order
