The Union says that the LCBO wrongly excluded Mr. Begley from appointment to a full-time position. [2]On the first day of the hearing, the parties sought direction from the Board relating to the case management of this matter, in view of the fact that other members of the bargaining unit have also filed grievances because they too believe they ought to have been appointed to one of the full-time positions. [3]Having heard the submissions of the parties, I order as follows: 1)The following matters are to be heard with the instant grievance: Patty Berry - GSB 2008-3423 Robert Hood - GSB 2009-1467 Nathan Huggins - GSB 2009-1455 Marlon Knight - GSB 2009-1454 Chad McLinton - GSB 2009-2177 Steven Mitchell - GSB 2009-1453 Sharon Tilling - GSB 2009-1518 2)If the parties agree, other matters may also be heard with these grievances. 3)Any procedural or preliminary matters, on any and all of these matters, will be heard first, on the next day of hearing. 4)The merits of each grievance will be heard consecutively, in order of seniority. nd Dated at Toronto this 2 day of March 2010.
