Hearing:
April 25th, 1977
Suite 405, 77 Bloor St. W., Toronto, Ontario

2.
In the grievances they filed with this Board, Ms. 0. Jameson,
Ms. B. Tessaro, Ms. E. Randall, Ms. J. Gilfillan and Ms. L. Jirsa who were
employed as Technicians 1, Chemical Laboratory in the Ministry's Central
Milk Testing Laboratory in Guelph, Ontario, complained that, as such, they
were improperly classified. Following the hearing into their complaint
the Board indicated to the parties that it would withhold its decision
pending a further attempt by the parties to resolve this matter along
certain lines suggested by the Board. By a letter dated May 11, 1'177
from Mr. N. Luczay, a Classification Officer for the Union, the Board
was apprised that the parties were in fact able to resolve their differences
in a manner that was mutually satisfactory to them. In the result and
purusant to the terms of settlement effected by the parties the Board
determines that the proceedings in this matter are hereby terminated. In
so doing this Board wishes to express its appreciation to both Mr. Luczay,
and Mr. R. G. Johnston of the Ministry, for their efforts in amicably
and expeditiously resolving this matter.
