SETTLEMENT
At the commencement of the hearing the .Board was informed that a
settlement of the grievances referred to the Board had been reached. A
Memorandum of Settlement, signed on behalf of the Employer on the one hand and
on behalf of the Union at-d the Grievors on the other hand, was filed with the
Board. A copy is attached hereto.
The Board takes note of the agreement of the parties to a full and final
settlement of the grievances in question and the Memorandum of. Settlement is
hereby made a part of the record in the matter.
The grievances before the Board having been resolved, these
proceedings are terminated.

Memorandum of Settlement
between
The Ministry of Colleges and Universities
and
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union
In respect of the grievances of R. Reynard, 17. Emery, J. Gibson,
GS8 #1255/84, 1262184, 1256184.
The parties hereto agree, without admissions of any kind and without
prejudice or precedent in future and/or similar situations, to the
following:
1) The Ministry undertakes to relocate the grievors to a stable
location by the target~date of Christmas, 1985.
2) The grievors agree that the target date may be extended if
required by circumstances beyond the control of the Ministry.
The Ministry agrees to meet with the grievors and provide them
with a full explanation of the circumstances requiring the
extension.
3) The Ministry agrees to inform the grievors of the projects under
consideration for their new offices by June 30, 1985. The
grievors will be provided with an opportunity at that time to
comment on the proposed sites; however, while the Ministry will
take their coaraents into consideration, it is understood that
the decision for the site location rests with the Ministry.
4) The Ministry agrees to keep the grievors informed of the progress
being made to finalizing the choice of the new location. As soon
as the information is available the Ministry will inform the
grievors of the address,of the new location for their offices
and the expected occupancy date in accordance with the intent
of paragraph (1).
5) As an interim measure, the Mini try hall relocate the grievors
from their present offices to &&&229 Valley Drive, Kenora
by June 1, 1985. Provision will be made for interior and exterior
maintenance in accordance with~the normal requirements of the
employer.
6) The grievors and Union agree that they will meet with the
Ministry with the intent of resolving any differences over
the implementation of this agreement before taking any
enforcement steps.
7) The parties agree that this settlement be made an award of the
Board.
This constitutes a full and final settlement of all matters in dispute
in the captioned grievances.
