1. The partles agree that there still exists a, problem
'i. regarding theoccupancy ~loading, and air quality at
the Unified Family Court building i.n Hamilton. .

2. (a) The.Employer agrees to upgrade the ventilation system
in the manner set out In paragraph 2 (b), and to
notify the Union of its implementation plans- in thi.s
respect ~no. 1ater:than :Apri~l.~:.5,- 1.~985;-=:-
(b) On or before April 30, 1985. the Employer shall improve
the air quality so that carbon dioxide levels are
reduced as 1oW as reasonably achfevable, and no greqter
than600 ppm. If this level cannot feasibly be achieved,
the Employer and the Union will meet at the earliest
possible date to negotfate, if necessary, a revised
maximum.
(c) Upon completion of the improvements described
paragraph 2 (b). the Employer and the Union w
request the Ministry of Labour to conduct the
air quality tests. -

Space Requirements,.

(b) The existing court c:lerks' office is to be 'expanded
to include the area presently occupied by the Crown
,Attorney's and probation offices.
(c)-The five court clerks will each be given a desk.
(d) The new'court clerks' office will have at least one
door to the public area and one door to the judges'
corridor.

4. (a) The parties recognize that paragraphs 2 and 3 represent
short-term arrangements and long-term, permanent changes
are necessary.
(b) The Employer agrees to show the Union the preliminary
architect's report as soon as it is received, which
is expected to be on March 11 or shortly thereafter.

report to the Union fmmediateJy thereafter.
(d) The recommendations and/or findings' of the reports
referred to In paragraphs~ 4 (b) and 4 .(c) will' be
.prov3ded to.the.Union by photocopy-or written summary.
(e) The Employer agrees. to Inform the Union of the options
being considered by it no later than dprll 1. 1985,
and to keep the Union.informed of the ,progress being
made toward a decjsion.
(f) The Employer .agrees to invfte and'receive input from
the Union regarding the matters in paragraph 4 (e).
._ 5. The above arrangements are subject to applicable fire
and building codes.
