BOARD ORDER
In the course of the hearing the parties reached the following Minutes of Settle-
ment and requested that they be issued as a" Order of the Board:
The parties hereto agree to the full and final settlement of the grievance
herein upon the following terms:
1. The Griever will be placed in the position of Project Leader (Drafter
3) in the Drafting Services Section on an acting basis for the period
from June 1, 1987 to November 30, 1987.
2. The Employer will conduct. three performance appraisals of the Griever
in the acting posiiio", at two month intervals during the six-month
period referred to above.
3. If the Griever's performance in the acting position is satisfactory,
the Employer will confirm the Griever in the position and pay to the
Griever acting pay for the period from January 1, 1987 to June 1, 1987.
4. If the Griever's performance is unsatisfactory, he will be returned
to his former position of Senior Draftsman.
5. The Grievance dated January 28, 1986 (OPSEU file #86H53) is withdrawn.
6. The parties agree that these minutes shall be incorporated into a"
Order of the Board and that the Board shall remain seized in order
to deal with any problems arising out of the implementation of this
settlement, including the performance appraisals and the decision whether
to confirm the Griever in the position. The parties agree that the
Board shall not be asked to inquire -into the competitions dated July
25, 1984 and October 10, 1985.
