Effective
jUbJ6Ct WING PATROLS
From 18:OO to 21:OO hours:.
Inmates will be required to remain in the Day Room under the obiervation of the control room officer during this period. Inmates will be allowed access into their cells to use the washroom, etc. however, they will .not be
permitted to remain in their cells. There will be no need for wing patrols during these three hours.’
Prom 21:00 to 23:OO hours:
Inmates will have. the option of remairkg in their Ceti pr in the Day Room, and are free to pass in and out of their cells. Correctional Officers will perform two wing
patrols during the two hour period.
The first patrol will commence at 21:40 hours and the second
patrol will be at approximately 22;30 hours.

EARLY LOCK’UP PROCEDURES (22:OO HOURS)
From 18:OO to al:00 hours:
Inmates will be required to remain in the Day Room under the observation of the Control Room Officer, during this
period. Inmates will be allowed acctiss. Into their cells. to use the washroom, etc.; however, they will not be permitted to remain in their cells. There will be no need
for wing patrob during these three hours.
- From 21:OO to 22rOO hours:
“. Inmates will have the option of remaining in their Cells or in the Day Room, and are free to pass in and out of
their cells.
Correctional Officers will perform one wing

L WEEKENDSANDHOLIDAYS
During Inmate Day Room periods, from 13:OO t0 15~00
hours, and, 15:00 to l&30 hours, inmates will be required to remain in the Day Room under the observation of the
Control Room Officer. Inmates will be allowed accesz into their cellz to use the wazhroom, etc.1 however,’ they will not be permitted to remain in their cellz. There will
be no need for wing patrols during these times.
Following’ 21:00 hours, when inmates are allowed to remain in thelr
cellz, the first wing patrol at 21:40 Is mandatory, the next Patrol at approximately 22190 hours !E also mandatory~ since it is necessary for staff to check the wing and do the count at this time. ‘If prior to 21100 houra, inmates remain in their cell for an extended period,
the wlng officer shall obtain a backup and enter the wing to investigate.
Correctional Officers who’ perform the wing patrols, will COmplete
a written report to their suparvisor, identifying the wings which were checked and comments on incidents or occurrences during the patrol(s).
After lock-up at 22:00 hours and 23:OO hours, staff are reminded inmates will be checked twice each hour, per normal day and night routines.
These procedures will remain in effect until the Standing Orders are amended.
