Patterson COunsel Legal Services Branch Ministry of Community & Social Services Bearing: November 7, 1989 DECISION This is a discharge grievance. At the commencement 'of the hearing, the parties Jointly moved that this proceeding be adjourned sine die. The Board was advised that as a result of the alleged incidents that led to the griever's discharge, a number of criminal charges had'also been laid against him. The criminal proceedings were still continuing at the time this grievance came before the Board. It was the parties' submission that this proceeding should be adjourned until the criminal proceeding is concluded. The parties presented to the Board terms of adjournment which had been agreed upon by the part/es. It was submitted that those terms of adjournment addressed any concerns the Board may have about granting the adjournment. Having regard to the agreement of the parties, the Board hereby consents to adjourn this proceeding sine die, subject to the terms agreed upon.
