Galaway Staff Relations Officer Ministry of Correctional Services Hearing: September 29, 1989 DECISION The Board issues the following order upon the consent of the parties: 1. The parties agree that the employer will reconsider the grievor's application for competition (1-2058-88), 2. The employer will conduct a full investigation and the grievor will be provided an opportunity to produce any information to the investigator. 3. The investigation will be for the purposes of determining whether the grievor's principle residence at the time of his application was within 40 kms of the Barrie Jail. 4. For purposes of this agreement, "principle residence" will be as referred to in Management Board of Cabinet Directive 4-Z "Relocation Expenses". 5. The investigation will be performed by an individual other than Mr. Ross, Mr. Anthony or Mr. Thomas. 6. The in-~estigat~or, agreement. 7. The Grievance Settlement Board will remian seized of this matter for purposes of implementation. 8. The parties agree that this settlement is without prejudice or precedent.
