Luborsky Vice-Chair FOR THE UNION Lesley Gilchrist Ontario Public Service Employees Union Grievance Officer FOR THE EMPLOYER Omar Shahab Treasury Board Secretariat Legal Services Branch Counsel HEARING June 13, 2016 - 2 - Decision [1] At the conclusion of the evidence in this case the parties requested the opportunity to submit their final arguments in writing only, which was acceptable to the Board. [2] Thus following consultation with the parties, the Board has agreed to receive written argument on the grievances in this matter according to the following timetable: 1. The Union will deliver its submissions by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016; 2. The Employer will deliver its submissions by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016; 3. The Union will deliver any reply submissions by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016; and 4. The Vice Chair may confer with the parties through their counsel by email communication on or by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. [3] The following further instructions are provided with respect to the submission of the representations: (a) The representations will be sent in paper form to the Registrar on the dates stipulated or earlier than the deadline date at the applicable party’s option; (b) At the same time that the written representations are delivered to the Registrar, the party will deliver an electronic version directly to the Vice Chair; and (c) If there any disputes between the parties respecting the appropriateness of the submissions, they shall schedule a telephone conference with the Vice Chair through the Registrar’s officer to deal with the dispute by at least 5:00 p.m. August 31, 2016.
