[2] There have now been three days of hearing held in these matters, August 31, 2015, June 16, 2016 and August 18, 2016, although the case has not actually begun to be heard yet. [3] On August 18, 2016 the grievor was not present at the hearing room by 10 a.m., the scheduled time for commencement of the hearing. The parties and I waited for over an hour, at which point counsel for the Union advised the Board that the grievor was not going to attend as she was not feeling well, and did not want to drive to the hearing venue. [4] The Union sought an adjournment of the day, and the Employer did not contest the request. As such I have granted the adjournment request. However, if Ms. Goring wishes to continue to pursue her grievances, she is directed to attend at the continuation of this case scheduled for August 30 and 31, 2016. She needs to understand that the Grievance Settlement Board and the parties have expended significant resources to prepare for and attend at the August 18, 2016 hearing day, and that those resources have been wasted as a result of her failure to attend the hearing. Should the grievor fail to attend at the next hearing dates without providing good and sufficient reason for her non-attendance, she should understand that there may be negative consequences for her grievances. Dated at Toronto, Ontario this 22nd day of August 2016 Gail Misra, Vice Chair
