BOARD ORDER
On consent , the parties are hereby ordered to abide by
the following agreement made by them on May 12, 1992 in settlement
of this matter:
1. The Ministry of Education agrees that the Ministry of
Education Accomodation Services Section will undertake, uDon
written request for information from the Ministry of Education
Joint Health and Safety Committee ("JHSC"), Mowat Block, to
request such information and r.eports as a~e available regarding
known material containing asbestos in the Mowat Block from the
Ministry of Government Services Property Management ("MGSPM"), and
MGSPM will provide such said information and reDorts as are
available to the Accomodation Services Section, who will provide.
same to the JHSC;
2. Once aware that there is work to be done, the Employer
will advise those employees located at the Ministry of Education,
Mowat Block who may be so affected of any work to be performed at
the Mowat Block which might involve distributing known material
containing asbestos, and thejoint chairs of the JHSC,
Block, will also be so notified;
3. The Ministry of Education agrees to develop and provide an
informational session, to employees located at the Mowat Block,
with respect to' asbestos awareness. The Ministry of Education
will consult the JHSC, Mowat Block, with respect to the content of-
the said informational session. The time frame for consuitation
will be as follows: the Ministry of Education will present a Draft
.Proposal of the said informational sessions to the JHSC, 'Mowat
Block, at the September, 1992 meeting of the JHSC, and the JHSC
will respond to the Draft Proposal by its October, 1992 meeting;
