MEMORANDUM OF SETTLEMENT
IN THE MATTER OF A GRIEVANCE
BEFORE THE
GRIEVANCE SETTLEMENT BOARD

In full and~final settlement of the eight classification grievances
listed above; the parties agree without prejudice or precedent'to
resolve the matter on the following terms:
1, The Employer shall create two new class standards which
will proportionately and accurately reflect the duties and
responsibilities of the individual Grievors.
The Employer shall create the two new class standards
within one hundred and eighty days of the date of receipt
the Union's execution of the Memorandum of Settlement,
3. The rate of pay in respect to the new classifications
shall be determined-in accordance with the Collective
Agreement,

4. The grievors..sha!l be reclassified to the classifications
referred to in paragraph #1 (above) effective twenty
working days prior to the date of.filing their individual
classification grievances - as listed in the attached
appendix.
5. Should any pa~ent be made-to the grievors in respect of
retroactive wages pursuant to paragraph #1 (above) such
pa~ents shall bear interest calculated in accordance with
the formula' as set out in the Hallowell House case.
6. The parties agree that this settlement shall be made an
order of the Grievance Settlement Board.
7. The Grievance Settlement Board shall retain jurisdiction
with respect to the implementation of this award.
8. ~on fulfilment of the above terms of settlement, the
grievances are withdrawn.
