GRIEVANCE SETTLEMENT BOARD
MEMORANDUM OF SETI'LEMENT
'IN THE MATTER OF
Ontario Public Service Employees Union
(Graeme Bell and Craig Hillen)
The Crown in Right of Ontario
(Ministry of Correctional Services)
Without prejudice and without precedent, the parties hereto agree to the following
terms in full and final settlement of two grievances, one filed by Graeme Bell dated
September 1991 and one filed by Craig Hillen dated September 19, 1991, both asserting an
employer health and safety violation:
1. The Ministry will install two emergency alarm buttons, similar to those already in
existence throughout Maplehurst Detention Centre, in each of three sub-control
modules at the Maplehurst Detention Centre within sixty days of execution of this
settlement; '
2. Either party may request that the Grievance Settlement Board put the terms of this
Settlement into an award of lhe Board; and
3. The Union and the Greivors agree to Withdraw the above two grievances.
