DECISION
A heanng was held In London, Ontano, on June 18, 1999, to deal with vanous
gnevances filed by Mr G Rate After heanng the representatiOns of the parties and after
revlewmg the terms of the settlement reached between the parties, I hereby make the
followmg dIrectiOns
1 The Employer shall pay the sum of $20,00000 to Mr Rate for mental distress
2 The Employer shall pay an addItiOnal sum of$22,000 .00 to Mr Rate less
deductiOns as reqUIred by law as a retmng allowance
3 The Employer shallduect such portiOn of the above payment set out m
paragraph (2) as Mr Rate Wishes and as permIssible by law to a Registered
Retuement Savmgs Plan ("RRSP") Mr. Rate hereby adVIses the Employer of hIS
mtentIOn to duect all momes m paragraph (2) to an RRSP
4 The Employer shall pay the sum of $13,000 00 to Mr Rate for general damages
ansmg out of the gnevances
