MINUTES OF SETI'LEMENT AND AUTHORIZATION
The Employer, Union and Grievor agree to the full and final settlement of the above noted
r
,grievance, without prejudice and without precedent, on the following terms:
1. The Employer shall purchase credit for three (3) monms and eight (8) days of service
from the OntarloPension Board on behalf of the Grievor, as set out in the
Notification of an Agreement to Purchase Credit, annexed as Schedule" A" to these
Minutes of Settlement.
2. The Employer shall deduct the sum of twenty dollars ($20.00) per pay period for a
total of forty (40) pay periods from the Grlevor"s pay in partial recompense for the
service purchased as outlined in paragraph 1 above.

3. The grievor, lohn Mclaughlin, hereby authorizes the employer to deduct $20.00 from
each of his paycheques until ~e advance of $800.00 has been repaid. If, for any -
reason, the grievor ceases to be employed by the employer, the grievor hereby

authorizes the employer to deduct the full amount of the $800.00 which remains
unpaid from the grievor's wages or any other payments owed to the grievor.

4 The parties shall cooperate in executing any necessary paperwork to implement terms
1 and 2 above.
S. The parties agree that this settlement is without prejudice to their re~pective positions
on allY loss of credit for pensionable service that may have occurred prior to
November 24, 1991. The Union and Grievor reserve the right to bring this matter
back before the Grievance Settlement Board as part of the original grievance, should
any such gap in credit for pensionable service be discovered.
6. Subject to paragraPhjabove, the Union and the Grievor withdraw the above noted
grievance.
7 The parties agree that this settlement shall be made an order of the Grievance
~ Settlement Board.
