On August 11, 1995, the Board heard a motIon for mtenm rehef m thIS case mvolvmg the
dIsmIssal of two ambulance attendants. At that tIme, the Union requested an order for the
productIon of documents. The hearIng IS to contmue on August 30, 1995 on the ments, and five
further days are to be scheduled before December 31, 1995 The Board VIews the productIOn of
documents at the pre-hearIng stage as both facilItatIng and expedItIng the conduct of the case,
partIcularly when the case may be a lengthy one. The Employer dId not oppose the order In
general or WIth respect to any specIfic documents, although a complete lIst of those may not have
been aVaIlable to Counsel for the Employer at that tIme.
The Board therefore orders the productIOn of documents relatIng to these dIsmIssals
requested by the UnIon as far In advance of August 30, 1995 as possible Should there be any
dIspute regardIng specIfic documents, these may be brought to the Panel on August 30, 1995
The Board further orders that the confidentIalIty of any patIents be respected and that it
be understood that any medIcal InfOrmatIOn be copIed and avaIlable only for the purposes of thIS
hearmg.
