AWARD
ThIS gnevance anses from the backlog medIatIOn/arbItratIOn process.
ThIS gnevance mvolves a clalm for pay ansmg out of an Issue as to whether or
not the Secunty Officers had a responsibIlIty-free lunch.
I find that the gnevors were not provIded wIth a responsibIlIty-free lunch.
ThIS polIcy was changed by Management at some tIme after the gnevance was
filed, although It IS not qUIte clear when It was actually Implemented.
ConsIdenng all these factors, and applymg the 20 day rule, I order that each of the
4 gnevors shall be compensated by way of a payment of $75000, less statutory
deductIOns. ThIS payment IS to be made by way of separate cheques.
