Abramsky Vice-Chair 3 ATTACHMENT "A" TO All FRO Managers FROM Sharron Van Son DIrector FamIly ResponsIbIlIty Office ArtIcle UN 5 1 ShIft Schedules 1 The FamIly ResponsIbIlIty Office agrees to adhere to ArtIcle UN 5 1 WhICh states that "ShIft schedules shall be posted no less than fifteen (15) days III advance and there shall be no change III the schedule after It has been posted unless notIce IS gIven to the employee one hundred and twenty (120) hours III advance of the startIllg tIme of the ShIft as ongIllally scheduled. If the employee concerned IS not notIfied on hundred and twenty (120) hours III advance he or she shall be paid tIme and one-half (1 IIz) for the first (8) hours worked on the changed ShIft provIded that no premIUm shall be paid where the change of schedule IS caused by events beyond the mIillstry's control " 2 The term "Days" shall mean Calendar days for purposes of IllterpretatIOn and ImplementatIOn of thIS Order 3 The term "Hours" shall mean consecutIve hours between the notIce and the commencement of the ShIft as ongIllally scheduled. 4 An Employee may sWItch scheduled ShIftS wIth another employee wIth mutual consent and approval III advance by management It IS understood that such sWItches shall be requested wIth reasonable notIce It IS further understood that any such request shall not be unreasonably deilled and be consIdered on ItS own ments
