ThIs gnevance concerns the amount of the percentage In heu payment for part-
tIme employees who Jom the penSIOn plan The employer has reduced thIS
payment for such employees by the amount of management's contributIOn to the
penSIOn plan In a pohcy gnevance, the umon claImed tIns reductIon contravenes
the collectIve agreement
In an award dated February 18, 1998, I allowed the gnevance NeIther
party addressed remedmlIssues at the InItIal heanng, and my deCISIOn was sIlent
on that matter The partIes now have made submISSIOns as to how the award
applIes to Cathy Hammond, an employee affected by the polIcy gnevance
The employer IS dIrected to compensate Ms Hammond for all m-heu
payments wrongfully WIthheld from her dunng the penod commenCIng twenty
days before the filmg of the gnevance The compensatIOn OWIng shall be paId to
Ms Hammond WIthIn ten days of the Issuance of thIS deCISIOn
