Decision
The PartIes referred thIS matter to mediatIOn/arbItratIOn m accordance With ArtIcle 22 16
of the CollectIve Agreeme nt. At the outset of the heanng, the PartIes agreed that I had the
JunsdIctIOn to deal With thIS matter and requested that my deCISIon be on a Without
prejudIce and expedItIOUS baSIS
In hIS gnevance dated August 5, 1997, the gnevor, a ProbatIOn Officer m the Mimstry of
CorrectIOnal ServIces, alleged that the Employer VIolated ArtIcle 20 7 of the collectIve
agreement.
Havmg carefully reVIewed the eVIdence, the submISSIOns of the PartIes, and the wntten
matenals submItted by the gnevor, I find that there has been no VIOlatIOn of the collectIve
agreement. In reachmg thIS deCISIOn, I have assumed that all of the mformatIOn prOVIded
by the Umon and the gnevor IS entIrely accurate
Accordmgly, the gnevance IS dIsmIssed.
