[2] Further to representations made by the parties during the course of a mediation session held on June 28, 2017, I understand Ms. Louis has a medical appointment scheduled for August 22, 2017. The Union is hereby directed to write to the doctor in question and ask that the doctor assess and provide his/her opinion as to Ms. Louis’s fitness to return to work; to participate in the process provided for in the Workplace Discrimination and Harassment Policy; and to participate in the arbitration process before the Grievance Settlement Board. [3] The Union is further directed to provide to the Employer, within 90 days of Ms. Louis obtaining a medical note stating that she is able to participate in the arbitration process before the Grievance Settlement Board, particulars alleged by Ms. Louis in support of her grievance. [4] Once particulars have been provided by the Union to the Employer, the parties are directed to contact the Grievance Settlement Board with a view to setting hearing dates.
