These mdIvIdual and group gnevances allege the employer faIled to ensure the
secunty of documents contammg confidentIal mfonnatIOn about employees When
settlement efforts faIled, I was to rule on the employer's prehmmary obJectIOn
contendmg tlus board has no JunsdIctIOn to hear any of these gnevances The
partIes agreed my ruhng would be made wIthout reasons and on a non-precedentIal
basIs under artIcle 22 16 7 of the collectIve agreement In my VIew, these matters
do not he wItlun the JunsdIctIOn of tlus board. Accordmgly, the gnevances are
dIsmIssed.
