DeCISIon
The partIes referred these gnevances to medIatIOn/arbItratIOn In accordance wIth ArtIcle 22 16 of
the CollectIve Agreement. The gnevances were filed In September of 2003 and Involved a pay
Issue at Maplehurst CorrectIOnal Complex dunng the SARS outbreak. The Umon seeks
appropnate compensatIOn for all hours worked.
At the outset of the heanng, the partIes agreed that I had the JunsdIctIOn to decIde thIS matter
and requested that I Issue a decIsIOn wIthout reasons
HavIng carefully revIewed the eVIdence presented and the submIssIOns of the partIes, I am
satIsfied that the gnevors have been compensated In accordance wIth the CollectIve Agreement.
AccordIngly the aforementIOned gnevances are resolved.
