DeCISIon
The PartIes referred thIS gnevance regardIng the gnevor's claim for specIal and compassIOnate
leave for January 28,29 and 30,2005 at the Toronto East DetentIOn Centre to
medIatIOn/arbItratIOn In accordance wIth ArtIcle 22 16 of the CollectIve Agreement.
At the outset of the heanng, the PartIes agreed that I had the JunsdIctIOn to deal wIth thIS matter
and they requested that I Issue a wIthout preJudIce decIsIOn, wIth no reasons
HavIng carefully revIewed the submIssIOns of the PartIes as well as the Junsprudence of the
Board, I hereby dIsmIss the aforementIOned gnevance
