Decision
There are three grievances before me filed on behalf of Robert Samsone. These matter were
scheduled to come back on for hearing on December 1 and 15,2006. The parties adjourned the
December 18t date on November 30, 2006.
On December 15, the union was put in the position having to request an adjournment because the
grievor had advised it that he was not going to attend. Seemingly, he has an unrelated WDHP
matter that he believed required his attendance that day. To its credit, the employer did not press
for these matters to be dealt with summarily as a result of the grievor's non-attendance.
In understand that both parties, the union and the employer, were prepared to proceed with
preliminary arguments on December 15, 2006. But for the absence of the grievor, we would
have done so.
Having considered all of the circumstances the Board orders that these matters are adjourned to
February 21,2007 on a pre-emptory basis.
