March 31, 2009
DECISION
[1] These grievances involve the grievor?s claims with respect to improper payment
of wages. The employer was provided with further documentation at the medarb
session on March 31, 2009. No resolution was reached, and the matter must now
proceed to expedited arbitration. I hereby order that the employer will have until May
15, 2009 to review and respond in writing to the union?s case and the documentation
provided on March 31, 2009. The union will then have until June 15, 2009 to respond to
the employer?s written position. The parties are directed to copy the vice-chair on these
written positions. After submissions are closed, I will contact the parties in order to
determine the most appropriate procedure for hearing this matter at expedited
arbitration.
