Enlployer Vtce-Chir -2- Decision [1] The parties have agreed to an Expedited Mediation-Arbilralion Protocol. It is not necessary to reproduce the entire Protocol here. Suffice it to say that l1e parties have agreed to a '"True Mediation-Arbilration" process, wherein each provides the Vlce-Chair with submissions, which indude the facts and authorities each relies upon. This decision is issued in accordance with the Protocol and with Arlide 22.16 of the collective agreement. and is without prejudice or precedent. [2] The grievance in this case relates to alleged health and safety violations_ [3] After reviewing the submissions of the parties and the collective agreement. it is my condusion that the grievances should be dismissed. I note that the parties have agreed to discuss the issues raised in the grievances at the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Dated at Toronto this 9th day of July. 2010_
