Gorchinsky Chief Staff Relations Officer Civil Service Commission Hearing: June 3, 1981 -- ‘2 -2- INTEfUM DECISION When the hearing in this case was convened on June 3, 1981, counsel for the griever informed the Board that counsel originally retained to represent the grievor ws unable to be present because of the death of a family member and that her instructions were to request an adjournment cn that ground. The representative of the employer brought to the attention of the Board that the griever and the employer’s two witnesses (who were present) were empldyed in Algonquin Park and that their absence from their posts at this season was highly detrimental to Park operations. He did not oppose an adjournment but requested that if it were to be granted, the case not be re-listed for hearing until a date in October when the Park would be closed. The Board granted the request for adjournment subject to the condition that the new hearing be heid after October I, 1981. The matter is remitted to the Registrar to be re-listed for hearing.
